USGTF National Office

Our national office in Florida has a full-time staff and welcomes scores of visiting USGTF members to our facility each year. In fact, we try to create a memorable experience for all of our guests.

To become a fully-certified USGTF golf teaching professional a candidate must undergo approximately 84 hours of teaching curriculum and testing procedures. Candidates receive thorough instruction in teaching all phases of the game, have a sound understanding of the golf swing and it’s causes and effects, and have learned proven teaching techniques. All members of the USGTF examination staff have not only undergone extensive training, but have been teaching people how to teach golf around the world for many years.

More Facts to Consider:

The USGTF was established in 1989 and is the largest organization of golf teaching professionals in the world with over 25,000 members

The USGTF is one of 45 member nations that make up the World Golf Teachers Federation, www.wgtf.com.

The USGTF has personal use programs with all of the major golf manufacturing companies as well as other industry partners

We have United States Federal registered trademarks on many of our brands including Certified Golf Teaching Professional, Master Golf Teaching Professional, United States Golf Teachers Cup, World Golf Teachers Cup, United States Match Play Championship, etc.

Our members are able to participate in the annual United States Golf Teachers Cup, the biennial World Golf Teachers Cup and the annual national golf teachers events of any WGTF member nation.

After 25 years of certifying golf teaching professionals our new initiatives now include the training and certification of golf coaches as well as golf club managers.

The USGTF and the WGTF are exclusively promoted and endorsed by the International PGA.
